Return to in-clinic care

Hi Everyone,

As you have most likely heard, the Ontario government has expanded Physiotherapy treatment options to include non essential in-person treatments.

While I am excited to be able to offer in-person treatment, we as physiotherapists are directed by our regulatory body, the college of physiotherapist of Ontario as follows:

Physiotherapists “are REQUIRED to limit the number of in-person visits for your safety and the safety of patients” and that we “are ONLY permitted to provide in-person care when we are satisfied that the benefits of providing care in-person outweigh the risks and appropriate infection control and prevention measures are in place”. See link for more information

For your health and safety, the preferred mode of treatment delivery remains Virtual Care. I have been doing this for the last two months and the feedback has been excellent.

Each of the clinics I work out of  have taken measures to ensure your safety. Please see the clinic website for policies and procedures related to COVID-19 and to help you plan for your visit.

If you are looking to schedule an in-clinic session and/or virtual care session please reach out to me personally or via the clinic’s phone/ email.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Andrew Gaterell MSc PT, BSc Hon HK
